A BIT OF HISTORY

In the early 19th Century, Cincinnati emerged as the nation's premiere source for pork distribution thanks to the invention of steam travel and midwestern trade routes along the Ohio River. This commerce effected great prosperity and the flying pig soon became a permanent fixture symbolizing the foundation from which the Queen City continues to grow.
